Sub cultures

what is a sub-culture:A Group of people who are united through common values systems and tastes these range from music, clothes and even politics
In this blog i will  be looking at and explain 3 different theories on sub-cultures, The theories I will be looking at are McCrakens theory A theory by the CCC and Hebdiges theory.

Grant McCrakens Theory states that every different music genre even sub genres are and have a different target audience and they are nothing alike.

The CCC's theory goes against McCreakens and say that all sub-cultures come from one culture and that you believe that you have to stick to one genre or sub-genre of music  rather that you are influenced to by todays media tis means that even though different artist are linked they all change there appearance to appeal to the target audience because they look and seem different.

Hibdige theory states that although many people think sub-cultures are different if you look at them in depth then you will see that they are all the same and its only and that there is only just enough difference between cultures and sub-cultures they we should consider renaming them little cultures

The Theory that our group feel relates to our chosen artist the most is the CCC's theory. This is because our chosen artist Ellie Golding has changed her appearance and look with ever album she realises it is because of this that she seems to be different to other artists and it only her record label that is forcing her to change so thet she can keep appealing to her target audience.

  1. You have made a start in describing the different subculture theories. Now you need to expand on the points that you have made, by explaining how your theory follows your music video style and concept. This can be achieved, by including further examples from your music video.
